A joyful world

May first 2011 a joyful noise is heard around the world. The death of the terrorists Osama Bin Laden, may the devil have an orgy with his soul. In my 65 years I have seen many moments in history that have had an impact on my life and the world. April 19th 1775, December 7th 1941, August 9th 1945, November 22th 1963, September 11th 2001, May 1st 2011 dates in time that are remembered, where were you? I try hard not to have distain for anyone or thing. But it gives me great joy to know that an evil has been destroyed. Too see the people of the east finding the will to end the oppression of human rights and too find freedom.
The shot heard round the world has found its mark. May 1st 2011. A poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson.
By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled,
Here once the embattled farmers stood,
And fired the shot heard round the world.

The foe long since in silence slept;
Alike the conqueror silent sleeps;
And Time the ruined bridge has swept
Down the dark stream which seaward creeps.

On this green bank, by this soft stream,
We set to-day a votive stone;
That memory may their deed redeem,
When, like our sires, our sons are gone.

Spirit, that made those spirits dare,
To die, and leave their children free,
Bid Time and Nature gently spare
The shaft we raise to them and thee.

Thank you and God Bless

We cannot hope to understand a people who does not think the same as we do. Some people in the Middle East might wish for an end to oppression, but their definition of oppression, I believe, is very different from ours.
