It’s time to Rodeo.
You have set around all winter, oh yaw you been out there
feeding them beeves’ and you have mended all the tack. But you have got a little fat and lazy
setting around that old stove. So it’s time to get the kinks out and burn off
that winter fat.
Well here is your ticket, The Rocky Mountain Pro Rodeo “Winter
Series” at the Golden Spike Event Center.
Last Saturday night I went and had a lot of fun watching as I am just a
little too old to be getting on the back of a bronco. Here are a few eight
second rides.
Give a big hand to the little lady. She missed her calf so a big
hand is all she will get.
Rodeo has been around in one form or another ever since man
climbed on the back of a Cayuse. That is a horse for you green horns. You see a
horse is a wild and free animal that just lets a man ride him sometimes. Now you
can go to an amusement park and ride a rollercoaster, but that is a little tame
compared to riding a wild bronco and not half as much fun. You could go and pay
one of them head shrinking doctor or one of them bone crusher doctor 150 bucks
an hour, or pay a 50 dollar entry fee at the rodeo and have it all done in
eight seconds or less and who knows you might walk away with a few dollars in
your pocket and a shine new belt buckle.
Oh and by the way cowboy do know how to surf.
