lot T

Lot T
T is for … ah yaw… you know it one of them. There was one of them over there. Everybody got a couple of them.  Why is it always one of them?  Do you really need all of them? Well I guess you had enough of them, but there is always room for one more of them. There a bunch of them under the hood of your car and in the Trunk, and on the floor, in the backseat, Just where do, you put all them. Well it’s just one of them.  Now I was told by someone with great authority that I fix them. So I must know a lot about them. Here it is (Things). There are thing-n-bobs and thing-a –ma-jigs, Sue’s things, Tom’s thing, good thing, and bad things. There are worthless things, strong things, something’s, and the wrong thing. There are an awful lot of things. Things go bump in the night; I guess there is the thing. There are said things, and sad things. I guess I will pack up my things and move along, it’s just of one of throws thing.  Take care of things. See you  thank you and my thing God Bless.

lot S

Lot S
S is for Savior.

Today is Good Friday.  Just what does it mean?  I see nothing good about putting an innocence man to death.  I have study this story most all my life. The man Jesus, was he god or messenger from god? His life story is one of a good man. Who love all he met, one who taught us to love our neighbor as our selves. Out of all the men of history he is the only one who did not try to rule the world. He showed us how to live. He gave us the freedom to believe in what he taught. He was found innocence but the public demanded his execution.

In the past six months we have seen tens of thousands of innocence people die, executed by the hand of nature. Could we have stopped it? We ask god why, how could he let this happen. Peter his best friend and follower denied he knew him. If you were there in the crowd would have called for Barabbas or Jesus.  Could you have said I will take his place, just let him live in peace. I hope I would have. No one came forward to take his place not even his mother. How could we let this happen? Would you have cried for Jesus?  His blood is on all of our hands. The other day a question came up as to who could say a prayer. Do you have to be a, christen to say the Lord’s Prayer. Do you have to be a Jew to read the Curran? Do you have be a Hindu to recite a mantra? Do you have to be a catholic to say a rosary? Do you have to be a Muslim to pray? The answer to all these questions is; it is your choice.  I don’t think that God gives a hoot as to what you call yourself.

He just loves us in spite of what we have done to his son. His forgiveness is there, you just have to ask for it.

I apologize to anyone who has been offended by this post. I will pray for you.
Thank you and God Bless all

Lot R
R is for Rocks, lots of rocks. I don’t know of a person that has not played with rocks. Do you have fun collecting lots of pretty rocks? If one becomes inaner with rocks you become a Rock hound.  Well I have to say I am a rock hound.  I get out my rock hammer, gold pan, shovel, pick. Load the truck and head for the hills or desert. I know where to find obsidian, agates, flint, jasper, jade, garnets, geodes, topaz, turquoise, opals and leaver-rite.  I like skipping rock too. You find a good flat rock then giver a fling and watch it jump across the water. I have a pet rock. His name is blue. When I was a youngster I would go with my dad and hunt for rock. I would find one and would ask my dad what kind of rock it was that I found. He would say “it a piece of leaver-rite” then he would explain “its leaver it right were you found it.”  Here is some that we did not leave.

Q stands for Quality. What is Quality? By what standard do you judge Quality? Do you have a Quality blog?
Over the past 50 years Quality has been a major part of my work. Assessing parts for man space flight, I performed QA testing on many parts of the space shuttle, and the air bag in your car. I worked for companies that are Malcolm Baldrige award winners.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recognizes U.S. organizations in the business, health care, education, and nonprofit sectors for performance excellence. The Baldrige Award is the only formal recognition of the performance excellence of both public and private U.S. organizations given by the President of the United States. It is administered by the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, which is based at and managed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Up to 18 awards may be given annually across six eligibility categories—manufacturing, service, small business, education, health care, and nonprofit. As of 2010, 91 organizations had received the award.

5.      Comparison how does it compare to other blog of the same genre.

I will award a star for each of the main criterion. If you would like to post a blog to be consider please do. If you think I should change or add a criterion to the list please let me know. All blog will receive one point for each main criterion, total possible is 15, three from each sub criterion   I will be placing a blog roll of the awardees here on my blog.  If someone can make a button or badge for this award please let me know, I will work with you. lot P

Phasianidae, Pheasants I used to love to go hunting for them and if prepared right with wild onions and wild rice yum, yum good.

There was one place that I lived; we had a big picture window in the kitchen that let us look out at an open wheat field. The wheat had been harvested and the straw was set in wind rows. We would look out it and watch the hunters try to get their pheasant. It was a very funny site to watch. There was this one old feller, he had on one of them bright orange dog eared flap hunting cap, an orange hunting vest, bib overall, and those untied boots. He looked like one of them clowns from Barnum and bailey circus. Well he was walking along side the wind row kicking the straw, when he booted a pheasant about ten feet in the air. He fumbled around and got a shot off , bang, bang, bang , and he did not hit anything but air.  The pheasant flew around our house and land right back behind the old boy where he had flushed it out. Ha, Ha.

Now back in high school I had this history teacher who likes to talk about the war ww2 that is. He was in the pacific theater, somewhere, anyway he told us about how the Japanese used shot gun and would load them with rice, broken glass, pieces of bamboo, or nails. How the key thing here is rice. My buddy and I figure that rice as shot made good sense. So we load up some shells, 3inch magnums 12 gauge max loads, with rice, and we went hunting.  The first shot or two we did not get a bird. So we tried to get off a shot a little closer and we got was feathers. There was nothing left to put in the bag, Just feathers. Close range it will get a bird but it tears up the meat and there is nothing to take home to eat.

thank you and God Bless

lot O

O is for Obituary. I don’t like reading them. It is the last words I hear of people I know and of love ones. I believe that it was Mark twain who wrote or said “The report of my demise is greatly exaggerated.”

In 1964 it was something that I could have quoted. It seem that some of the people, well all the fellow I went through boot camp with were kill in Vietnam August 24 1964, I was list as one of the dead. I had not gone with them; I had been discharged and sent home. I was at home in September and had just received my discharge papers. My dad received a letter the same day that read “We regret to inform you that your son “Roy A Durham” is missing in action and is presumed dead.” There had been a paper work mix up at the war department.
However in 1972 I was in an emergence room and I lay dead for 11 minutes.  How I got there is a story of doing something stupid. Booze and pills don’t mix. I remember it like it just happen. I could see them; the doctors and nurses working to save my life. I did not care about what they were doing. I was fine I had no pain and it was beyond explaining the beauty and warmth of heart I felt. I was free of all things and wanted to stay where I was. Then I was in an office and the doctor was telling my wife that “If he has any family to be called, he would call them for her, he will go anytime.”  I got mad for that the doctor was telling my wife. He was scaring her. I got madder by the second I want to kick him all the way to ten buck to. Then a voice told me I could not stay with all the anger I had. I woke up for a few minutes a couple times during the next 72 hours. I was in a four bed ward and the other men in the ward died. I watch as they wheeled them out with the sheet over their faces. I was the only one to leave that room walking.
Thank you for reading, at least I hope you have read, my daughter in-law story.  There is a heaven and god dose care and answers prayers. I have been there.
Thank you and god bless
