lot belief 3.3

Good morning. Welcome back. That was captivating day.  I see I have lost some of the comments that were there, but we are all here and we can rebuild.  I would like to thank all of you for coming back and leaving a comment. Just so we can get back to the exercise here is the start of this debate.
What do you believe that is the question?
Do you have a soul? Is there a god? Is the world flat? Did a man go to the moon? Are there ghosts? Does big foot exist? Are we the only living being in the universe?

What is belief?
Belief is “acceptance by the mind that something is true or real, often underpinned by an emotional or spiritual sense of certainty” from a dictionary. Wow! Now that opens up more questions. What is the mind? What is true? What is real? What is emotional? What is spiritual? What is certainty?

An Experiment
Just for the fun of it take and read the first set of questions again and answer each with the word “no” write the answers down somewhere. Then do it again this time answer “yes”. Was there a change? What changed?
Take one the first questions and in the comments leave your thoughts on the question. Don’t be shy write all you would like to on one question. The comments are open to all, no cipher to post a comment.  For the next week I will see if I can come up with the best answer to each. This should be fun and interesting.   Tomorrow I will address the first one “do you have a soul”.

I was talking about god and creation of the universe when the blogosphere imploded.  There was a person who had posted a comment, that I wish had not been lost. Anyway I went to his site to look around. And saw something beautiful. Something he did not know that he was showing. They say that a picture is a thousand words. He is a photographer; the picture was of a reflection on still water. A reflection the definition form the dictionary “the image of somebody or something that appears in a mirror or other reflecting surface, or careful thought, especially the process of reconsidering previous actions, events, or decisions.”
He also had a thought and a quote of a proverb "we cannot see our reflection in running water. It is only in still water we can see… Taoist proverb.”  If you look at his pictures, they are beautiful, and note the reflection. In our minds eye we see a thought a reflection a vision of what we would like to see in reality. In the photo’s you can see both at the same point in time. Could this be the way creation started? Maybe you can see god in you. Here are to photo blogs where you can see this. http://alfandi-photoramblings.blogspot.com/ and http://jpweddingphotograpy.blogspot.com/2011/04/few-amazing-images-of-heron-fishing.html
If you check out these blog leave a comment and come back her and leave your thought. Did you see what I saw?

 Thank you and God Bless

I know what you mean.thank u Roy for showing me life,creation,God,existence..People travel to wonder at the height of the mountains, at the huge waves of the seas, at the long course of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motion of the stars, and yet they pass by themselves without wondering...without believing.

Thank you, Roy, the heron photos were good for me. There is a pond at the cemetery, next to the scattering gardens, and the boulder that my (late) husbands name is inscribed on. I sit htere and watch the herons, hours at a time. Be still, and know that I am God, the sacred literature tells us. Be still, so hard to accomplish, as the traffic goes by, the noises of 'civilization' inject themselves deeply into our spirit. But, be still, brings me closer to God, closer to being able to hear that still small voice. That is what the heron reminds me of, the need to be still.Thank you.
