Lot May
I don’t know but years ago when I was a wee lad. There were some things that we did on May first. One had to do with a basket. In school we made them out of strips of colored paper and make flowers out of crepe paper and sometimes we would put in cookies and candy in them. Then you were supposed to put the basket of some ones door step and ring the bell or nock then run away. If you got caught you would have to give the person that caught you a kiss. And There was this pole the one with all the ribbons on it. We would dance around it till all the ribbons were wound around the pole. There were picnics in the park and a parade with all kind of fun costumes. And the games like a sack race, three legged race. It was called May day. Well I guess we have all grown up and forgot how to have all the fun of May Day

I vaguely remember doing the pole thing once. It was kind of confusing. Looking back, it's sad the things we've lost.
I remember too, Roy. We must be getting old.;-)
