Farther

On this day we honor our fathers. Mine passed in 2000. At his service we all said the Lord’s Prayer as I have said most everyday of my life. It has a new meaning to me now. My dad did give me this day, and I never went without food, he did forgive me when I did wrong, and taught me to forgive others. He never led me into temptation, and he did deliver me from evil. What more could ask of a father?

Dad  I do miss you.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven,

Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

And forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive those who trespass against us,

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil.
